Returning to Wilson Street for a second R.Z.Owens project presented an unusual opportunity: to deliver another development within the same streetscape while giving it an architectural identity entirely of its own.

Rather than repeating what had been built before, the project was approached on its own terms — responding to its particular architecture, site conditions, materials and spatial requirements.

Returning to Wilson Street

Completing two separate projects on the same street is a small but meaningful part of the R.Z.Owens story.

Familiarity with an area can provide valuable construction knowledge, but every site and every architectural design presents a different set of challenges.

Wilson Street II demonstrates that our approach is not based on repeating a formula. Each project is considered individually, with construction methodology, detailing and material execution developed around the architecture itself.

A Distinct Identity

While Wilson Street I and Wilson Street II share an address in the broader sense, they should not share the same story.

The second project has its own architectural character and deserves to be understood as a separate piece of work within the R.Z.Owens portfolio.
